We tell ourselves we’re too young, so we don’t start. Then a few years pass, and suddenly we’re too old, so we still don’t start. The truth? Time doesn’t care. Days keep passing whether you take your shot or not.
I’ve met 19-year-olds scared they’ve missed their moment, and 30-year-olds who’ve been waiting for “the perfect time” since their twenties. The common thread? Both are standing still. Both are letting a number dictate what they’re capable of.
Here’s the thing: you are not late. You’re not early either. You’re exactly where you are and that’s the only place you can start from.
The music, the business, the idea you’ve been holding back on… it doesn’t know your age. It only knows whether you’ve put it into motion.
And yeah starting might feel awkward. You might look like a beginner. You might feel behind when you look at what other people are doing. But none of that matters when you’re moving. Because motion compounds and grows.
What matters is this: if you give your dream another year of waiting, it’ll still be there next year… just older. And so will you.
So stop making age the headline in your story. Make the work the headline. Make the next step the headline.
Whether you’re 18, 28, 38 - start now. Not because you’re running out of time, but because every day you delay, you’re giving away time you could have been building.
