Hey family,

Welcome to 2025!

I know it’s been a minute but been working on some amazing things behind the scenes for you guys — so firstly welcome back to Evaletter, your weekly guide to creative growth, clarity, and freedom.

If you’ve been here since The Creative Hussle, you’ll notice things look a little different. We’ve rebranded the newsletter to something we are going to call an evaletter, and it’s now part of forevafree*—a movement that’s not just about working hard, but about living and creating with intention.

What is forevafree*

forevafree* isn’t just a brand; it’s a statement, a mindset, a movement. It’s about breaking away from the noise and distractions that pull us in a thousand directions and creating a life that feels truly yours. It’s about:

  • Trusting your instincts: Making decisions that align with who you are and what you stand for.

  • Living on your terms: Defining success for yourself—not by anyone else’s standards.

  • Building with purpose: Creating things that matter, both to you and to the people you want to impact.

The asterisk? That’s a nod to possibility. It’s a reminder that there’s no one way to do this—your freedom, creativity, and hustle are uniquely yours.

With these evaletters, I want to equip you with the tools, ideas, and encouragement to make your creative journey a reflection of that freedom. Whether you’re starting your first project, scaling a business, or figuring things out as you go, this space is for you.

1. Start with Intentions, Not Just Goals

We all love setting goals, but here’s the thing: goals give you direction, but intentions define the why. Without a clear intention, even the best goals can feel hollow.

Before you start writing down resolutions, ask yourself:

  • What kind of person do I want to be this year?

  • How do I want to feel at the end of 2025?

  • What values or habits will guide my decisions?

For example, instead of setting a goal like, “I want to grow my audience to 100k,” my intention might be, “I want to connect authentically with people who resonate with my story.” The intention gives the goal depth and meaning.

Action: Write down three intentions for the year. Keep them visible—on your phone, your workspace, or even as a daily reminder.

2. Break It Down into 90-Day Chunks

Let’s face it: trying to tackle a whole year in one go can feel overwhelming. That’s why I break things down into 90-day blocks. Think of each 90 days as a chapter in your story.

Here’s how you can approach it:

  • Quarter 1 (Jan–March): What’s the ONE big thing you want to achieve in the next three months?

  • Weekly Focus: Break that goal into weekly actions. If your goal is to launch a product, your weekly focus might look like this:

    • Week 1: Research your audience.

    • Week 2: Plan your content.

    • Week 3: Start creating.

By focusing on shorter periods, you’ll build momentum and stay motivated without burning out.

Action: Choose one goal for the next 90 days and break it into weekly tasks. Use a planner, Notion, or even a whiteboard to stay on track.

3. Prioritize Progress Over Perfection

Here’s a hard truth: perfection doesn’t exist. Waiting for everything to be perfect—your skills, your timing, your resources—will only delay progress.

When we launched GUAP, it was far from perfect. The branding wasn’t polished, and we didn’t have all the answers. But we started anyway, and that momentum carried us forward.

Done is always better than perfect. The more you do, the more you learn, and the better you get.

Action: Pick one thing you’ve been putting off and take the first step today. Whether it’s sending that pitch email or posting that video, just get it out there. You’ll refine it as you go.

4. Use Tools to Stay Organized

Staying consistent requires systems. Tools like Google Calendar, Notion, or even a simple planner can help you turn chaos into clarity.

Here’s how I structure my week:

  • Monday: Planning and strategy.

  • Tuesday–Thursday: Execution (content creation, client work, etc.).

  • Friday: Reflection and prep for the next week.

Having a structure doesn’t limit your creativity—it creates the space for it to thrive.

Action: Block out time in your calendar for the week ahead. Start with just three key priorities each day and focus on completing those.

5. Reflect and Adjust Regularly

The most important part of starting strong is staying flexible. As you move through the year, take time to reflect on what’s working, what’s not, and where you need to pivot. Growth isn’t linear, and that’s okay.

Action: At the end of each week, ask yourself:

  • What went well?

  • What can I improve?

  • What’s my focus for next week?

Small adjustments along the way make a big difference.

Final Thought

the evaletters are here to help you build a creative life that reflects your vision of freedom and success. This isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter, staying aligned with your values, and creating something meaningful.

Let’s make 2025 the year we move with intention, clarity, and purpose.

Welcome to forevafree*—welcome to a new chapter.

Stay focused,
Ibrahim
