One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn in this creative game is that you’re not for everyone. And that’s okay.

It’s so easy to get caught up chasing the people who don’t get it. The ones who scroll past. The ones who never like, never share, or never seem to care. This could even be your own friends haha. We tell ourselves if we could just convince them, just win them over, then we’d finally “make it.”

But that’s wasted energy.

Because while you’re stressing about the audience that doesn’t connect, you’re neglecting the ones who already do. The people who love what you make. The ones who save your posts, play your music on repeat, pull up to your events, send your work to their friends.

Those people are your foundation. They’re your real supporters. And when you start focusing on deepening with them instead of chasing strangers, everything gets lighter. The pressure drops. The journey feels easier.

Tryna cater to everyone will definitely water you down. But doubling down on the people who already feel you? That’s where the magic happens. That’s where your community grows.

So if this sounds like you - try an make that shift.

Stop trying to convince people who don’t see it. They’re not supposed to.

Start serving the ones who do. They’re your people.

And when you know that, you stop bending yourself out of shape. You stop changing your style, your voice, your vision just to “fit.” Instead, you go deeper into who you are, and the people who resonate with that? They’ll stay, they’ll grow, they’ll bring others with them.

You don’t need everyone. You just need the right ones.
