I want to talk about a feeling we don’t really acknowledge enough: that weird emptiness that shows up after you hit a big goal.

Weeks ago we did the GUAP Gala. One of the biggest things we’ve ever pulled off.
In an iconic venue. With hundreds of people celebrating culture, creativity, and community.

To a lot of people, it was a huge success. And I’m grateful, very grateful actually for how it turned out, for the team, for the support, for everything.

But the truth is… the day after, and even now I feel a little lost.
Not sad. Not ungrateful. Just… empty. Like, “What now?”

It’s a strange feeling you work endlessly towards something, pour yourself into it, grind for months, think about it day and night… and then the moment arrives, you deliver, people celebrate you, and when it’s over you’re left with this quiet space that feels a bit different.

I’ve realised this happens because for so long, the goal becomes your compass.
You wake up thinking about it. You breathe it. You sacrifice for it. You structure your whole life around it.

And when it’s done, there’s nothing directing you for a moment. You’re standing still after sprinting for so long.

It made me realise something important:
If you don’t love the process, the destination will never feel like enough.

The high doesn’t last. The applause and praises fades. People move on. And you’re left with yourself again.

And I think that’s why this feeling hits so hard because for builders, dreamers, creatives, we tie our worth to momentum. When we stop, even for a moment, it feels uncomfortable.

But the process the late nights, the ideas, the tiny wins, the learning, the growth, that’s the part that actually changes you. That’s the part you spend 99% of your life in.

The goal is the moment.
The process is the life.

So I’m trying to learn not to rush past the stillness after a big achievement. To not immediately throw myself into the next thing just to feel “on track” again. To sit in the in-between and actually feel the journey.

Because if the only joy is in the goal, you’ll spend most of your life feeling empty.
But if you learn to love the building, the growing, the becoming - then you’re never lost, even when the destination is behind you.

If you’ve ever felt this post-achievement emptiness, don’t beat yourself up. You’re not ungrateful. You’re human. You’re recalibrating. You’re finding your next direction.

And maybe that’s part of the process too.
